Joe K Jones (known to many of us as Grandpa Joe) was honored by the Consul General of France in Atlanta with the Legion of Honor medal prior the Clemson Military Appreciation game. He was also honored during the game. What a wonderful time with family and friends.

The presentation was to be in the Military Heritage Plaza, but the weather moved us to the Clemson Corps gathering under a tent.
Joe's son, Ken gave a moving speach to inform everyone of just who Joe K Jones is. It is about 24 minutes in length, and well worth your time to listen.

Then it was off to the stadium to take on Ga Tech. There is nothing better than GameDay in Death Valley. The team at the top of The Hill and touching The Rock as they enter the field as a commitment to give 110%. Did you know it was Joe's uncle Sam Jones that brought The Rock to Coach Howard?
Between the 1st and 2nd quarters Grandpa Joe was honored on the field.

It was a great time honoring one of my favorite veterans, and ALL of our Military on Veterans Day.
